X TRANSITIONAL AND FINAL PROVISIONS 

Deputy Commissioner 

Article 96 

Deputy Commissioner for the protection of personal data elected in compliance with the Law on Protection of Personal Data (“Official Gazette of the RS”, No. 97/08, 104/09 – other law, 68/12 – CC and 107/12) continues to perform such duty until the expiry of the term of office for which he/she is elected.

Initiated Proceedings 

Article 97 

Proceedings initiated upon appeals with regard to the requests for exercising of rights relating to processing, procedures initiated upon applications for issuing permissions to transfer data from the Republic of Serbia and supervision procedures which are not completed by the initial date of application of this Law will be completed in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Protection of Personal Data (“Official Gazette of the RS”, No. 97/08, 104/09 – other law, 68/12-CC and 107/12). 

Central Register of Filing Systems 

Article 98 

The Central Register of Filing systems, established under the provisions of the Law on Personal Data Protection (“Official Gazette of the RS”, No. 97/08, 104/09—other law, 68/12 – CC and 107/12), will cease to be maintained on the date of this Law’s entry into force. 

The Central Register referred to in paragraph 1 of this Article, as well as data contained in such Register, will be handled in compliance with the regulations governing the handling of archival materials. 

Bylaws 

Article 99 

Bylaws envisaged by this Law shall be passed within nine months from the date of entry into force of this Law. 

Application of the bylaws adopted based on the Law on Personal Data Protection (“Official Gazette of the RS”, No. 97/08, 104/09 – other law, 68/12 – CC and 107/12) shall continue until the adoption of the bylaws referred to in paragraph 1 of this Article, unless if they are contrary to this Law. 

Harmonization of Other Laws 

Article 100 

Provisions of other laws pertaining to the processing of personal data shall be harmonized with this Law by the end of 2020.

Termination of the Previous Law 

Article 101 

The Law on Personal Data Protection (“Official Gazette of the RS”, No. 97/08, 104/09 – other law, 68/12 CC and 107/12) ceases to be in force on the date of commencement of application of this Law. 

Entry in Force of the Law 

Article 102 

This Law enters into force on the eighth day from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia (Službeni glasnik Republike Srbije) and it applies upon the expiry of nine months from the date of entry of the Law into force, except for the provision of Article 98 of this Law, which apply as of the date of entry into force thereof.
